Thank you for our new cricket equipment
Posted: July 14, 2025
More House School is exceptionally grateful for the generosity of the Children with Special Needs Foundation in donating £4,391.62. We were delighted to use these funds to purchase a Flicx cricket wicket and a dedicated cricket training cage.
The new cricket equipment is greatly enriching our pupils’ experience of sport, offering increased opportunities for focused practice, skill development, and match readiness.
The equipment has been used since May 2025 and here are the thoughts of some of our pupils:
- “Thank you for the donation. The new equipment makes cricket really fun!”
- “We are very grateful, and we are all going to benefit from the cricket nets. ”
- “I love cricket and am always practising – the new equipment is good.”
- “The new equipment has really helped me improve my batting and bowling.”
- “I’ve been using the cricket nets at lunch and break times.”
- “The new equipment is really going to help the future of cricket at More House School. ”
Staff are also very excited about the new equipment, and some share their thoughts here:
- “The new equipment is such a great addition to the school. ”
- “It’s transformed our cricket provision; we can now have both net sessions and games and will be hosting our first match this week. Thank you so much.”
- “The equipment has been well used so far. It’s good that you can move the cage from place to place and I’ve seen it all being used at break, lunch and in PE lessons. The cage is great because you can have it there for practice and take away for games. ”
Thank you for your support.
