Annual Special School Football Tournament

After a competitive, but good natured, tournament Dove House were declared the winners of this year’s Children with Special Needs Foundation Tournament and lifted the trophy.

Commiserations to the home teams from The Abbey and the visitors from Carwarden House, Hawley Woods, Philip Southcote and The Park Schools.

Abbey School year 11 sports leaders were responsible for organising and running the tournament incredibly professionally! Meeting and greeting, refreshment runs, refereeing, scoring, liaising with staff and teams, photography, everything!!! 

Gordon and Ann Parris with Patsy Walker were honoured guests to present the spectacular replica of the FA Cup which was donated by Thandi Wooldridge in memory of her late husband, Ian, when the tournament was first established by the Children With Special Needs Foundation.
