Pupils from Guildford Grove School go horse riding at Cranleigh

Pupils from Guildford Grove School go horse riding at Cranleigh, with a donation from Children With Special Needs so this could happen.

Thank you so much for the contribution you gave us some time back towards our children’s horse riding sessions at Cranleigh Riding for the Disabled Stables. The money has been used to subsidise the cost of lessons for our pupils who have hugely benefitted from the opportunity to ride regularly. For some of our children it supports their physio and core strength development targets, for others it is an opportunity to focus on communication and following instructions. For all of the children it has been a highlight in their learning programmes and they have worked hard to achieve practical riding and horse care certificates. In September, one of our pupils was awarded a trophy for ‘most improved rider’ at the Stables across the past year.
