Florida 2024 – Day 2

Sunday 8th September

We were up bright and early for a yummy breakfast in The Garden Restaurant of The Hilton hotel. So many choices of food. Everyone had a filling breakfast.

We then went to the South Gatwick terminal had a look around the shops and the children treated themselves to magazines. We then headed to our gate to board our plane to Florida, 7310 km away which took us 8.35 hours.

The children were extremely excited and very happy.

After collecting the luggage and hire vehicles we drove to our fantastic destination Cumbrian Lakes Drive, to our villas. They are AMAZING!!!

Whilst the children settled in and unpacked a couple of the teachers and Gordon, Tom and Nicky went for supplies at the local Walmart. They got caught in a down pour with thunder and lightning.

Then it was back to the villas for pizzas for tea and an early night ready for tomorrow.
