CWSNF Football Tournament 2025

Pictured are the KS3 squad who won this year’s football tournament for local special schools. The Abbey hosted the event involving Dove House, The Park, Carwarden and Sunnydown (last year’s winners).

The students were amazing and played really well, showing great sportsmanship and teamwork throughout. Special mention to our outstanding KS4 Sports Leaders who stepped up to referee the games, as well as helping with the smooth running of the tournament.

Thandi Wooldridge and Patsy Walker from the Children with Special Needs Foundation (CWSNF), original donor of the magnificent replica FA trophy, came along to watch and to be on hand to see The Abbey lift the cup.

Other guests included friends from Aldershot Town Football Club – the CWSNF sponsor tickets for our students to attend VNL home games there. On Bank Holiday Monday four lucky families watched the Shots play Yeovil Town.
