Chilli bean chair for Oliver

Oliver is 8 years old, he has a condition called lissencephaly, he is non-mobile, non-verbal, has delayed development and epilepsy.

We originally received a peapod chair from your charity in December 2019, he enjoyed this chair for 4 years. He has now outgrown this chair and we intend to donate it to his school, so other children can benefit from it. His current Physiotherapist suggested a Chilli bean chair this time. The chair is a bean bag sealed in a neoprene cover. It comes with a compressor which removes most of the air from the bean bag, meaning that you can mould the chair to the individual’s needs. Then you remove the remaining air to provide a bespoke supportive seating system. So far Oliver seems comfortable and happy with the chair. The moulding process also provides a workout for dad.

Thank you again for your continued support, we are very grateful.
