Blackdown Gets a Helping Hand
Blackdown Primary School in Camberley provides schooling mainly for military families. With many primary age children changing schools up to six or seven times, it is difficult to help them to reach their full potential.
A third of the school's pupils have special needs - a huge proportion relative to other schools in the area. The recent OFSTED report, while praising the efforts of staff and the progress of the special needs' pupils, commented on the outdated and obsolete equipment. As a result of this, extra learning materials and computers are vital, and the £1,500 donated by Children With Special Needs will be used in this area.
