Up The River

On Tuesday 2nd April at 5.00 pm James Lawrence at his home, 41 Oakwood Road, Windlesham, Surrey was presented with a canoe from the Children With Special Needs Foundation.

James is 15 years of age and currently attends Collingwood College, Camberley. James is a member of the Blackwater Valley Canoe Club and plays polo in canoes for the under 16 team. James' particular skill is in whitewater canoeing and he recently competed in the nationals.

James has been selected for a trial with the Great Britain team.

Gordon Parris, Founder of the charity, said that the charity was delighted that they could help James pursue his career in canoeing and acheiving his dream to canoe for Great Britain.
