St Lawrence Chobham Handbell Ringers are all set for their tour to Barbados. And thanks to Children With Special Needs' £500 sponsorship, Tristan Cook (10), Celia Wood (15), Georgina Carefrae (16), Rosie Cook (7) and Kirstie Varndale (16) can go too!

All the handbell ringers give their time to performances for the retired and charity events. 60 bells are used to create the unique sound. The largest weighs in at 16 pound, the smallest D only a few ounces!
The junior team members performed the handbell part in the rendition of Benjamin Britten's Noyes Fludde in the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall.
Six concerts are planned for the Barbados tour, with the aim of promoting handbell ringing, especially among children. The team is entirely self-supporting and does not receive any outside funding, so the donations have been invaluable.
