Home Start Day Out
£500 was donated to Home-Start Runnymede in May to enable about 100 parents and children to enjoy a day out at Thorpe Park (who have kindly reduced their rates for the day) .
This branch of Home-Start has an enthusiastic band of 30. home-visiting volunteers who support 56 families with a total of 140 children.
In addition to the main home-visiting role, social activities are arranged - coffee and play mornings, park play days, a Christmas party, local pantomimes and other outings. There is no cost to the families.
