On Monday 19th June 2006 the Lord Lieutenant for Surrey, Mrs Sarah Goad JP, presented the Children With Special Needs Foundation the Queens Award for Voluntary Service for 2006. It is a considerable achievement and a special honour to win this award which was started in the Queen's Golden Jubilee year 2002.
On the evening committee members, patrons and some of the major sponsors were present at the award ceremony, held at the Wentworth Club, Surrey.
Gordon Parris said "I am delighted that the charity has received this award and I believe it recognises the strong support the charity has built up in the community and the major support the charity receives from individuals and businesses".
Our thanks go to Tessa Harvard-Taylor for nominating the charity for this award.
